Disney's Christmas Carol

Growing up this was always a favorite story of mine when it was Christmas time. I thought the way that Disney portrayed Scrooge was fantastic. I always imagined him as a very frail old man. I enjoyed the way they portrayed this classic. It was a great movie. However the movie seemed to be geared towards kids, and I would not classify it as a kids movie. The movie is definitely more for an older audience. Altogether I enjoyed it, even though the creepy Ghost of Christmas Past's voice reminded me of Voldemort from Harry Potter.

I give this movie 4/5 Christmas Ghosts.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

I tried to go into this movie without any judgments. I tried to look it as a movie I knew nothing about and see if it is something that would catch and hold my attention. It didn't. The first hour of the movie I thought I was going to fall asleep. The movie seriously lacked a plot. Anything that was worth mentioning that happened in the movie happened in the last half of the movie.  I did however enjoy the few fight scenes that took place. However if you can get past the fact that Robert Pattison's ability to act is about as good as my ability to be orange, the movie isn't half bad. If the movie had been given more "meat" the movie could have been really good. It has potential, but failed to live up to it.

I give this movie 2/5 Sparkly Vampires.

Blue Man Group

Since this show has been in Vegas for quite some time I thought I had a good idea of what it would be like. I was wrong. They way that they use lights, colors, and sounds no one could explain to you. You simply have to see it for yourself. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what they would do next. This show is funny, inspiring and an all around sensation. I have never been this captived by three performers who do not even speak. I would gladly see this over and over again to experience they way they stimulate you. By far, this is the best show I have seen on the strip. AMAZING!

I give this 5 out of 5 Blue Men.

Where The Wild Things

Having to make a full-length, feature-film out of a short story must have been a feat in itself. Growing up this was one of my favorite books. I loved to read it. I felt the story line in the movie did a great job of staying in line with the original story. It helped us to remember what it was like to be a kid. To remember how simple things would make us happy and make our troubles float away. This movie will definitely bring our your inner child. This is a must see.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 Wild Things.

Duel by Jeremy Clarkson

You probably know someone that is obsessed with cars. You might have thought to yourself "Why are they so obsessed?". It's a valid question. This video is the answer. Any old car is not "obsession-worthy". It has to pass the tests. In this movie they test the cars. In other words, they physically do what every car fanatic does in their mind when they see a car for the first time. They analyze and if it passes then it is "obsession-worthy". Jeremy Clarkson is the host of a world renowned car show called "Top Gear". In this movie he hosts every car fanatics dream. I invite you to have your first car obsession moment. Here is the challenge; watch this video and see if there is any point where you want to drive one of those cars. A time where you are sitting there in amazement at the beauty of the cars. A time where you are astounded by these amazing engineering feats.

I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 supercars.

This Is It

I went into this movie with a low expectations. I thought that I would see an entertainer who was trying to relive the "glory" days. Fumbling dance steps, missing notes and no endurance were all things I expected to see. I admit I was pleasantly surprised. Michael Jackson may have aged but he still acts and performs like the kid we all know him as. Many times he was out performing the many young backup dancers. He truly is an entertainer. In my mind performers are told what to do by the many people that the production company hires to make the concert great. Instead Michael was calling the shots, perfecting the music, improving the dances and enhancing the all around experience.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 Moonwalks.
