Alice in Wonderland

Amazing! Vivid colors, excellent storyline, and fantastic cinematography. Tim Burton really hit the nail on the head here. It's the perfect match of an already good storyline and Burton's eccentric style. This was one of the best movies I have seen. I was captivated the entire time. If you are looking for a new twist on the story and excellent movie then this is it. This is the must see movie of the year!

I give this 4.5/5 playing card soldiers.

Bounty Hunter

I was apprehensive about seeing this because I thought it might be one of those comedies where they trick you. You laugh at the hilarious preview, then as you see the movie you realize that the moments in the preview were the only funny ones in the movie. In this aspect I wasn't let down. There were a lot of laughs in the movie. What did let me down is the crudeness. Although it wasn't the entire movie, it was enough for me to notice and remember. I felt that they wanted a little more comedy in the movie and so they were a little lazy and got the crude jokes out. I feel if the writers would have left that out they would have had a fantastic movie on their hands.

I give this 2.5/5 Ex-s.

Valentine's Day

When I first saw the preview and saw that there were 15+ "big name" actors, I thought the movie was going to be a huge flop. This is a movie that in order to remember that it's good, you only remember a few parts. At times there is just too much going on. Too many stories being told. With that being said there were some decent moments in the movie that are worth seeing. This movie has some laughs, and some heart wrenching moments, however it is forgettable. If you want to see a movie and there isn't a whole lot to see, then this might be a good choice.

I give this movie 2.5/5 overpaid actors.

When In Rome

Not being a fan of cheesy over the top "lovey-dovey" movies, I liked the way this was handled. Instead of making it a movie where no man would be interesting in watching, they made it enjoyable by all. The movie had enough laughs and guy moments mixed in with romance and love stories that the movie was like by both me and my wife. Did the actors deliver amazing performances? No. Was it the best script/plot ever? No. What it is, is a great date night movie. I would go see this again with my wife on a date. It had the perfect balance that made it a great movie for a dinner/movie date night.

I give this movie 3/5 unbroken vases.

Avatar

In life you can hear a story over and over told by many different people, but until it is told with conviction and passion it probably won't make a difference in your life. Such is the case with Avatar. The core of the story has been told many times, but this time it was powerful. It was captivating. The movie slowly got you hooked and then you were anxious to see what would happen, rooting for them to pull through. The animation and intense detail were simple magnificent. James Cameron did a fantastic job of making this movie compelling and interesting. If you are not sure about this movie; as I was when I saw the preview. I can say that the preview does not do it justice in the least. Find someone you know that has seen it and chances are they loved it.

I give this movie 4.5/5 Na'vi.

Sherlock Holmes

Being a fan of the Sherlock Holmes saga I had some big expectations. Having Robert Downey, Jr. play Sherlock was a little "iffy" in my mind. I was worried that since Director, Guy Ritchie, wanted to bring the martial artist side of Sherlock out; that he would just play the same role as Ironman and it wouldn't meet my expectations. Downey knocked this out of the park. He was fantastic as Holmes. This movie was an all around thriller. The cinematography, the action, and the acting kept you hooked the entire time. You felt as if you were there alongside Holmes and Watson trying to figure out the cases. My wife and I were constantly leaning to each other; coming up with our own ideas of what would happen and who did what. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, keeps you guessing, and when its over you are craving more.

I give this movie 4.5/5 Detective Teams.

The Blind Side

In my life I have seen a lot of, what I call, "feel good" movies. These are the types of movies that usually make you feel good, but rarely do you talk or think much about it later. Rarely are movies inspirational. The Blind Side is one of those movies. This is a movie that makes you want to be a better person. They make you feel uplifted, not just good. Immediately you are captivated by the storyline and cheering for him to pull through. This is by far one of the best movies I have seen in my life. If you want to see a movie that will do more then merely keep you entertained for an hour and a half, one that is actually worth $10.50. Then this is the movie for you.

I give this movie 5/5 offensive tackles.
